For Rosie Inguanzo-Martin, success has never been measured solely by what she has built professionally. Just as important is what that success allows her to give back.

For over 21 years, Rosie and her husband Joe have built Allegiance Home Health, combining professional expertise with a deeply personal understanding of what it means to be there for others. Along the way, Rosie has become a healthcare advocate, civic leader and dedicated volunteer, lending her time, knowledge and connections to organizations focused on health, education, families and opportunity.

The common thread: a belief that what we gain through life and work becomes even more meaningful when we put it to work for others.

Where It Became Personal

Rosie understands the value of that helping hand firsthand.

While owning out-patient physical therapy clinics and building her home health agency her father passed away and her mother, Roselia, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at 83, Rosie found herself balancing the needs of an aging parent with a full-time career, raising a young son and being present for her own family.

“I always felt like I did not spend quality time with my mom because I was too busy managing her health and her daily needs,” Rosie recalls. “I was more like a caregiver and not a daughter.”

Rosie listened to the advice she gave other families, hire a caregiver! Through her company she hired Luz, a caregiver to care for her mother. Hiring Luz allowed Rosie to once again become Roselia’s daughter — sharing meals, listening to stories and enjoying their time together. In fact, Luz became part of the family and was beside Roselia, holding her hand, when she passed peacefully at home.

The experience reinforced something Rosie already believed: the right person at the right time can profoundly change someone’s life.

Turning Gratitude into Action

Rosie and her husband honored Roselia by establishing the “La Luz” Roselia Inguanzo Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund at Florida Atlantic University’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, Rosie’s alma mater. The scholarship turns gratitude for those who cared for her mother into an opportunity to invest in those preparing to serve future generations.

Today, Rosie serves as Vice Chair of the College’s Advisory Board, bringing the perspective of an alumna, healthcare executive and employer to advancing nursing education and the profession.

Her understanding of family caregiving also drew her to the American Association of Caregiving Youth, where she previously served as board chair, supporting young people who shoulder significant caregiving responsibilities while navigating school and adolescence.

As Secretary of the West Boca Medical Center Governing Board, she puts more than two decades of healthcare knowledge to work on behalf of the region she calls home.

Showing Up Where It Matters

Rosie’s involvement extends well beyond healthcare. She is particularly drawn to organizations that strengthen children and provide resources for families and seniors.

As Trustee Board Chair of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County, she supports an organization whose value her own family has experienced. Her son participated in the Y’s Teen Leaders Club, where he connected with peers, developed leadership skills and learned the importance of community service.

As a longtime South Palm Beach County resident, Rosie has watched the region grow — and with it, the need for youth programs, affordable childcare and resources for families and active seniors. She sees the Y as a place where families connect, children grow and neighbors come together.

Through the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, she has chaired Boca Festival Days, connecting businesses with nonprofits to create events that generate participation and funding.

Her professional career has given Rosie another valuable resource to share: perspective. Building Allegiance Home Health, leading hundreds of employees and being recognized as the Chamber’s 2016 Small Business Leader of the Year have taught her lessons about responsibility, relationships and bringing people together around a common purpose.

Different organizations. Different missions. Different needs.

But the motivation remains remarkably consistent.

Rosie knows what it means to need someone—and the value of having the right resource arrive at the right moment. She also believes success brings an opportunity to open doors for others.

For Rosie, paying it forward isn’t defined by one board appointment, scholarship or organization. It’s showing up. Sharing what she knows. Supporting an education. Connecting people. And using the relationships and resources she’s built to create opportunities for someone else.

Compassion gave her perspective.

Commitment turned it into action.

And community is where she continues to pay it forward.

Because while one act of kindness may seem small, its impact can be anything but.
