YOU’RE ABOUT TO DISCOVER THEM IN A WHOLE NEW WAY… ALL IN ONE PLACE.

Welcome to Simply Good: Where Community Comes Together.™

Every day, people throughout our community are creating, leading, giving, building and finding new ways to make a difference. Businesses and organizations are bringing people together. Ideas are becoming initiatives. Experiences are waiting to be enjoyed.

We created Simply Good to bring more of that together in one place — not simply to report on what’s happening, but to create a true destination that helps people connect with it and become part of their community,

A place to meet people worth knowing, explore ideas worth sharing, learn about organizations making an impact, connect with businesses invested in our community and find more opportunities to experience and enjoy where we live.

EVERYTHING STARTS WITH GOOD

Our editorial approach begins with one question:

How does this strengthen our community? If it doesn’t, it doesn’t belong.

That means positive, community-first content without politics, crime or controversy. It doesn’t mean ignoring what’s important. It means deliberately creating a destination focused on the people, ideas, organizations, businesses and experiences that inform, inspire and contribute something positive to the community we share.

Today’s readers also want more than information. They want to know why something matters, who is making it happen and how they can experience it, support it, benefit from it or become involved.

That’s the shift from readership to participation that will guide Simply Good. Over time, we hope to measure our impact not simply by how many people read or click, but by what happens as a result — new partnerships formed, volunteerism increased, organizations supported, businesses discovered and more people inspired to participate.

BUILT ON TWO COMMUNITY LEGACIES

While Simply Good is new, the experience and expertise behind it are anything but. It brings together 40 years of community publishing with 40 years of community building.

For four decades, Seabreeze Communications has connected South Florida through 32 community publications across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Collier and Lee counties, with a portfolio that includes regional publications, neighborhood magazines and community media serving homeowner associations and gated communities.

And for four decades, my husband and business partner, Jon — Simply Good’s Partnerships Lead — and I have built our careers around bringing businesses, nonprofits, civic leaders and people together through strategic communications, media relations, brand journalism, community engagement and public-private partnerships.

Those two deep-rooted, complementary histories now come together in what we believe can become a new category of community journalism—one designed not only to inform, but to inspire participation.

INSIDE THIS PREVIEW ISSUE

Take a first look at what Simply Good will bring to our community.

You’ll meet people making a difference in the lives of others through Good Impact, and see purpose and participation at work through Good in Action. From there, explore creativity and culture in Good Arts, advances in medicine in Good Medicine, healthier living in Good Health, schools and students in Good Education, business growth in Good Growth, the animals we love in Good Paws, and ideas worth sitting with in Good Perspective, Good Thoughts and Good to Know.

And our cover story, 25 Good Ideas Worth Discovering, may say it best: inspiring ways to connect, engage, experience and enjoy more of our community.

Because Simply Good isn’t about telling you everything that’s happening. It’s about helping you find more of what matters.

More people to know. More ideas to consider. More experiences to enjoy. More organizations and businesses to support. More reasons to participate.

Community Isn’t Monthly. Neither Are We.

Simply Good is designed as a year-round digital destination —

Published Monthly. Connecting Daily.

Our website and monthly e-issue are only the beginning. Daily content will keep something new coming your way. A Community Events Calendar Collective will help you find what’s happening and where you want to be. Our Business Directory will provide an easy way to find community-minded local businesses and resources. Community Good post-event coverage will share the people and moments after events happen. And our Community Advisory Board will bring additional voices and perspectives to what we cover and create.

Together, they make Simply Good a place you want to return to … whenever you want to know, go, connect, engage or simply enjoy more of what’s around you.

And we invite businesses and organizations to be part of it. While many media platforms focus on selling advertising space, Simply Good creates an editorial environment for mutually beneficial partnerships designed to generate value for readers, partners and the community alike.

Whether through advertising, content, sponsorships or other opportunities, the idea is simple:

No matter how you choose to partner, you’re not just reaching the community … you’re helping build it.

Because after 40 years of community publishing and 40 years of community building, one thing has become very clear:

The strongest communities aren’t simply places where people live. They’re places where people connect.

Welcome to Simply Good.

We’re glad you’re here.
