RALES JFS SUPPORTS CHILDREN, SENIORS AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN.
Sometimes help means putting food on the table. Other times, it’s discovering why a child is struggling to learn, finding someone to talk to during a difficult time or helping an older adult stay active, independent and connected.
Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (Rales JFS) provides that kind of support — and much more — to people throughout South Palm Beach County, regardless of race or religion.
For children and families, services extend well beyond traditional social services. Rales JFS offers psychological and psychoeducational testing that can identify learning challenges, academic strengths and areas where additional support or accommodations may be needed. Educational and therapeutic resources help children develop skills and gain confidence.
Mental wellness spans generations. Counseling, psychiatry, psychological testing and support groups serve children, teens, adults and seniors. Community programs also bring important conversations into the open, helping young people and families better understand anxiety, resilience and when to seek support.
For those facing food insecurity, the Jacobson Family Food Pantry and financial assistance provide critical support when basic needs become difficult to meet.
And healthy aging means more than healthcare. At the Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center, more than 660 members can choose from 60 activities each week, including fitness, games, arts, music, discussion groups and social experiences that keep older adults active and connected.
Because at some point in life, almost everyone needs a hand — or has one to offer. Rales JFS creates a place for both.
Behind all these services is another essential resource: community support.
Philanthropy helps underwrite programs and services, making them available free or at reduced cost for those who might otherwise go without needed support. Volunteers can deliver meals, support the food pantry, assist seniors, share professional skills and contribute their time in countless meaningful ways.

Whether giving time, expertise or financial support, there’s a way for everyone to help Rales JFS continue being there when someone in our community needs it.
